Target: Chuck Miller, Kanawha, West Virginia County Prosecuting Attorney
Goal: Severely punish the person who allegedly tortured and mutilated cats.
Two cats were reportedly found murdered inside a home where three others had been gruesomely tortured. According to authorities, one of the murdered cats had been mutilated, and the three who were still alive appear to have been tortured.
Humane Association officials reportedly searched the home and found blood on the ground along with the horrifying scene of mutilated and dead cats. This is the most disturbing and malicious case of animal cruelty they’ve dealt with, according to Humane Association Executive Director, Chelsea Staley.
It seems this man owned cats just for the disturbing purpose of mutilating, torturing, and killing them, all crimes that indicate high possibilities for even more victims in the future. The man’s name hasn’t been released, but Staley says they expect to file animal cruelty charges soon. The sad reality is that these savage crimes could only amount to mere misdemeanor charges. That’s why it’s imperative that we put pressure on the authorities and let them know that we expect them to take this seriously. Please add your signature to the petition below demanding that this man be banned from owning animals and punished severely, if guilty.
Dear Mr. Miller,
Five cats were reportedly found tortured and mutilated in the home of an unnamed man. Two of them had been killed, and according to authorities, the remaining three appeared to have been tortured.
Too often, sadistic animal abusers are allowed to escape justice and continue harming animals. Anyone who’s capable of murdering and savagely torturing innocent, small animals is likely capable of doing the same to humans. We urge you to seek the most severe possible penalty for this man, and ensure that he’s permanently banned from owning animals, if guilty.
