Dear District Attorney Miles,
A man reportedly abused his dog in a public lot, leading to his arrest. The dog suffered a broken leg and police removed it from the man’s custody. We demand justice for this innocent dog.
Zihao Li was charged with one count of felony animal cruelty after witnesses reported seeing him abuse his dog. Donuts, a Shiba Inu, was treated for a broken leg and is currently in the custody of animal control. Li’s other dog was also removed from his custody, but he has not been accused of abusing that dog.
A hearing to determine if Li will stand trial is set to take place later this month. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
