Target: Brian C. Bosma, Speaker of the House for Indiana
Goal: Don’t criminalize abortion, even in circumstances of a high-risk pregnancy.
Abortion could be banned under any circumstance should a proposed bill be passed in Indiana. This would make all abortions a crime in Indiana and endanger the lives of women throughout the state. Demand that this bill be rejected and rendered unconstitutional.
The “Protection at Conception” legislation, as named by State Representative Curt Nisly, would allow prosecutors to file charges against anyone who participates in the procedure. “The idea here is always, always try to save the baby,” Nisly stated. In circumstances where a high-risk pregnancy endangers a woman’s life, this legislation demands that the doctor put equal effort into saving both the woman and the unborn child.
“Protection at Conception” will reach the general assembly in January. Sign below and demand that congress reject this bill and render it unconstitutional.
Dear Representative Bosma,
Representative Curt Nisly has introduced a bill that would make abortion a crime, even in situations where the woman’s life is at stake. We demand that you reject this bill for the safety and well-being of all women.
“My position is that the Supreme Court is wrong with Roe v. Wade and they don’t have jurisdiction in this manner, ” stated Nisly. This comes shortly after Governor Pence’s law requiring the burial or cremation of fetal remains was overturned due to its violation of the constitution.
The “Protection at Conception” bill is dangerous for women and could result in unnecessary deaths. We demand that you reject this bill and support a woman’s right to choose.
