Target: Christopher Porrino, New Jersey Attorney General

Goal: Assign prosecutor to press charges against Governor Chris Christie and hold him accountable for Bridgegate scandal.

A municipal judge in Bergen County, New Jersey, agreed that there is enough evidence to hold New Jersey Governor Chris Christie accountable to stand trial in regards to the Bridgegate scandal. In 2013, the scandal shut down lanes of the George Washington Bridge as an act of revenge against a Democratic mayor who refused to endorse Christie during his gubernatorial reelection bid. The lane closures stopped hardworking citizens from reaching their jobs, reaching their homes, and going about their daily life. Emergency response crews were given no notice of closures, resulting in delayed response times and the death of a 91-year-old woman.

Bridget Kelly and Bill Baroni, two former staff members for Christie, were found guilty by a jury for their involvement in the scandal after they were discovered to have planned the closures over emails and text. Both testified that Christie knew of the plot and that he was informed of traffic problems beforehand.

Chris Christie spent a majority of the previous presidential election advocating for the prosecution and arrest of Hillary Clinton. However, his alleged actions are perhaps even more deplorable than her private emails. His alleged actions harmed his own citizens. If he is so intent on holding Hillary Clinton before the court of law, perhaps he should hold himself to the same standards. If he has nothing to hide, he should stand before a jury of his peers and plead his case. Sign the petition and demand that the state’s attorney general hold Christie accountable for Bridgegate.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Porrino,

Two former aids to Governor Chris Christie were found guilty of criminal misconduct in the Bridgegate scandal. The scandal prevented thousands from going about their work and daily duties and delayed response times for the state’s first responders. All of this was done as an act of political revenge.

Both guilty parties testified that Christie was not ignorant of the traffic issues. As a result, he should face a trial just as they did. His citizens have a right to hear him testify and have a right to know whether or not their governor was involved in a politically corrupt scheme. Chris Christie is a man who wishes to see others, such as Secretary Hillary Clinton, held  before the law. He should hold himself to the same standards. I demand that you hold him accountable and bring him before a jury of his peers.

Sincerely,

  1. There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Christie was behind this lane closer’s. He’s counting on the lower people who worked for him to take the fall. See that his career in politics is over and run him out of office! Maybe Trump will give him a job a wiping his ass!

  2. Are you crazy? Suzanne Michael you are a tart tongued evil woman. Probably because you didn’t have your ass wiped.
