The Burlington police have issued a $500 reward for any information in this case. They are hoping to locate a suspect soon. Sign below to demand the maximum penalty for those responsible.
Dear U.S. Attorney Miller,
A cat was found hanging from a tree, a wire tightly strapped around his neck. He died from his injuries. We demand justice for this innocent cat.
Burlington Police Department Deputy Chief Shawn Burke stated, “This cat was horrifically killed.” It is unreported how long Tiki, the cat, was hanging. He was dead when a local pedestrian found him.
The person responsible could face a felony charge of aggravated cruelty to animals and serve a potential prison sentence of up to three years. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
