Target: Manuel Longoria, Chief Deputy of Bexar County
Goal: Police officer who allegedly fed feces to a homeless man must be permanently banned from ever serving in a position of authority.
A police officer allegedly fed a homeless man a sandwich that contained feces. According to reports, officer Matt Luckhurst went to the trouble to prepare the sandwich with dog feces, then placed it in a Styrofoam container before taking it to a homeless man. When he bragged about the deplorable act, his fellow officers reported him, according to documents.
After an investigation was conducted, Luckhurst was placed on bike patrol, where he was allowed to continue working as an officer. Recently, however, Luckhurst was placed on “indefinite suspension,” according to the police department. Unfortunately, it’s common for fired police officers to be reinstated, and Luckhurst’s attorney has told outlets he intends to “prevail in arbitration.”
Putting feces on a sandwich and giving it to a homeless person is absolutely cruel. This officer was in a place of trust and his job was to serve and protect. It seems he used his power to hurt people who are in need. Please sign this petition to demand that this officer is never allowed to serve in a position of authority again.
Dear Chief Deputy Longoria,
An officer allegedly made a sandwich with feces on it and gave it to a homeless man. This is a deplorable thing to do and we’re appalled that this officer wasn’t fired immediately.
This kind of person doesn’t deserve the privilege of wearing a badge. We demand that this officer be permanently banned from ever serving in a position of authority, if found guilty.
