Target: Rosemary Lehmberg, District Attorney of Travis County
Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the person who abandoned a dog on a sidewalk, and left her to die.
A dog was locked in a wire crate and left on a North Austin street corner, nearly dead. She is currently in critical condition. Demand justice for this innocent dog.
At first glance, Austin police believed that the 1-year-old boxer or Boston terrier mix was dead. Trapped in a wire crate for an unknown amount of time, she was breathing but seriously ill. Though she was wearing a brown rhinestone collar, her owners were nowhere to be found. Investigators suspect that she was abandoned.
Austin police are investigating, but have no suspects at this time. Those responsible could face charges of cruelty to non-livestock animals. Demand the maximum penalty for this horrific neglect.
Dear District Attorney Lehmberg,
A 1-year-old dog was abandoned on a North Austin street corner, locked in a crate and left for dead. She is currently in critical condition. We demand justice for this innocent dog.
The boxer or Boston terrier mix was nearly dead when Austin police discovered her. Trapped in a wire crate, she was barely breathing and seriously ill. Her owners have yet to be identified and it is believed that she was abandoned.
If the police hadn’t arrived when they did, this dog would likely have died. The person who abandoned her is still at large. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
