Target: Devon Anderson, Harris County District Attorney
Goal: Punish those responsible for the neglect and abandonment of a helpless 7-month-old puppy.
An abandoned chocolate lab was rescued by Harris County’s Animal Cruelty deputies in Houston, and the owners are being charged with abandonment. The puppy was found starving and suffering from severe mange and intestinal issues, lying on a pile of soiled laundry.
The dog is being treated at the Houston Humane Society, and has been named Bella. At first it was unclear whether Bella would survive, but the treatment and care she has been receiving at the Humane Society has been working and she is now getting ready to join a local family that reached out to the society.
The owners who were charged with abandonment — Tristan Hancock and Elisha Gonzalez — have not yet been arrested and their location is unknown. Authorities are encouraging them to turn themselves in. Sign below and demand that these alleged abusers face jail time for what they have done to this helpless puppy.
Dear District Attorney Anderson,
A 7-month-old chocolate lab who was rescued by Harris County Animal Cruelty deputies deserves justice. The puppy, who has been named Bella, is being treated for severe mange and intestinal issues at the Houston Humane Society. She was found lying on a pile of dirty laundry, starving and very ill.
The former owners, Tristan Hancock and Elisha Gonzalez, are charged with abandonment, but have not yet been arrested and their location is unknown. They must be held accountable for their alleged treatment of this helpless, innocent dog. I urge you to ensure that the owners are held responsible and punished for their actions.
