Puppy Disemboweled and Killed – Demand Punishment

pitbull-by-rescuewarrior

Target: Chief Bill Citty, Oklahoma City Chief of Police

Goal: Justice for puppy reportedly slain by disturbed man.

The corpse of a six-week-old pit bull puppy was found disemboweled under the bed of an Oklahoma City man, who has been charged with the brutal torture and murder of the animal, according to reports. Dallas Hicks, the alleged killer, claims he “didn’t mean to do it” and reportedly apologized to his mother for his actions. He has yet to be formally arraigned or charged, and his neighbors are horrified to be living in the same neighborhood as someone who would purportedly do such a thing.

This puppy did not deserve this horrible fate. The poor animal was still only a baby, two weeks under the average age for puppies to be considered old enough to leave their mothers and be weaned. Torturing and killing any animal is a disgusting crime, but it takes on a whole new level of horrifying when the animal is so young and helpless. In addition, pit bulls are already horribly maligned by society in general due to misconceptions. This incident is another black mark on a list already too long.

Hicks is said to be mentally ill and in need of help, but it does not excuse his reported crime. The accused must be dealt the proper consequences for his alleged crime, in addition to receiving the mental help he appears to need so badly. It is too late to do anything for the poor puppy, but the animal’s death need not be in vain. Sign this petition to demand Hicks face justice if found guilty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Citty,

A young puppy was found brutally slaughtered under the bed of Dallas Hicks, who reportedly admitted to the crime and was arrested. The legal fate of the accused has yet to be announced, but he needs to face justice for his actions. This puppy was only a baby and did nothing wrong; it did not deserve such a horrible end. Pit bulls are already unfairly treated by society at large, and the death of this puppy is another unnecessary example whether or not the dog was killed based on their breed.

The accused is said to be mentally ill, but that does not excuse his alleged actions. Please ensure that he is punished as severely as possible for the alleged murder of an innocent animal.

Sincerely,

  1. The time has come where we as a civilized society can no longer ignore crimes against animals. Especially when as brutal such as this case. There are thousands of mentally ill people yet they don’t use their illness as an excuse for sadistic torture.Through YOUR signature on this petition you can help to send a loud and clear message to authorities that we demand action. We demand justice for the innocent animals abused, tortured and killed. We are no loner willing to accept these heinous and barbaric crimes and will hold law enforcement responsible to ensure justice prevails

    • i could not have put it better myself.Mental illness has become a let out for too much. A good excuse for evil savagery.

    • Alan Braganza says:

Agreed 100% with Dottora Quick’s response that many thousands of mentally ill people do not use their illness as an excuse to sadistically torture animals or people.
I also am in agreement about the critical need to demand from law enforcement and from the legal system as a whole to be vigilant with their justice on ALL persons under the law for such heinous and sadistic brutality done to animals…really review and add to the laws to allow much greater protection for innocent animals.
All authorities in society that exist to protect welfare of people need to realize that mentally ill, psychologically disturbed people can be a clear danger to themselves and so to put an animal in their care is grossly negligent. Please do not continue to ignore discrepancies in legislation that prove continually to e inadequate in protecting animals; rather, scrutinize wordings to give these most sentient dogs, cats and animals worthy rights in human society.
The justice profession can make all the differences necessary and we implore all students of law to all attorneys to all judges to allow fertile conditions for improved legislation. Please allow justice for this puppy whose life was taken in extreme rage…

  2. Mentally ill is the biggest crock of shit excuse for this pathetic scumbag! Hang him

    • Yes! This mentality ill excuse is really getting out of hand..a person can get away with anything with that claim..he knew that he had done wrong cause he hid the evidence under the bed.

  3. Wendy Morrison says:

Disembodied this stupid animal abuser and make sure he dies a SLOW & PAINFUL death just like this defenseless innocent 6-week-old puppy dud!!!!

    • Alan Braganza says:

It definitely will become an issue as to whether the offender is genuinely psychologically ill because from the rage generated to literally tear apart the soft flesh of the puppy so as to disembowel the tortured body suggest he flung it against sharp surfaces to tear it apart and or used sharp instruments to sadistically disembowel the puppy.
Mentally ill people may not harm a puppy in their care to such extreme level but who knows…this needs proper authority with professional investigative methods and protocols to gather all necessary evidence for a court trial and sentencing.

  4. Ladena spruill says:

This MONSTER is practicing for the future. He is a sadistic, calculating murderer preying on the innocent. A defenseless puppy today another tomorrow. He needs to be stopped now!!! Mentally ill…Then put him down!!

  5. He wasn’t that mentally incapacitated that he didn’t know what he was doing: inflicting pain and suffering on a defenseless animal. He should be charged, jailed, and never allowed to own an animal again. That poor baby suffered – he shouldn’t have been allowed to be adopted as he was too young. That POS needs stiff jail sentence, irrespective of his “mental” incapacity.

  6. I agree with everyone on this site…. I am fed up with these cowards doing the horrific acts to animals and then claim mental health issues. He knew enough to hide that poor pup so he knows right from wrong therefore he needs to pay dearly for his sick, evil horrific torture and murder of this innocent animal……

    • Alan Braganza says:

I sadly have to agree that there are tens of millions of humans who know the brutality that they do to animals, because they derive pleasure from seeing a helpless life scream in struggle to death. The legal profession from university departments to supreme court may do well to improve the laws that keep animals safe and protected in society.
Hopefully law makers will not continue to ignore discrepancies in legislation that prove continually to be inadequate in protecting animals; rather, scrutinize wordings to give these most sentient dogs, cats and animals worthy rights in human society.
The justice profession can make all the differences necessary and we implore all students of law to all attorneys to all judges to allow fertile conditions for improved legislation. Please allow justice for all animals brutally taken in extreme human rage as humanity needs to form and enforce more civilized societies.

  7. OMG……………..WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR WORLD WHERE HUMANS ARE SO EVIL,VILE,CRUEL,DEPLORABLE AND INHUMANE??

RIP POOR INNOCENT BABY PUPPY! YOU DID NOTHING TO SERVE TO DIE SUCH A HORRIFIC AND PAINFUL DEATH.

With that said the guy who did this should be sent to a mental facility for life or to jail …..because he is a threat to everyone around him. STOP HIM NOW BEFORE HE DISEMBOWELS A HUMAN THE NEXT TIME. I WOULD HATE TO LIVE ANYWHERE NEAR THIS GUY….

  10. Unless humans are a “zombie” they know right from wrong. This cowardly monster has killed for his own gratification – justice needs to be followed through properly – why has he not been charged?? This is a disgraceful respect to the lives of animals who have no say where they live. This man’s mother is also at risk – saying “sorry” when you are caught, shows how devious he is.

    • Alan Braganza says:

Where is the justice for this puppy removed from its mother at six weeks which was too early and never done.
Of course the puppy would cry at night for its mother’s sustenance and warm touch.
Of course the cries would become bothersome and even awaken a person already asleep.
Perhaps that person needed to be somewhere early and needed his sleep and really wanted to shut the wimpering cries …but went too far and got carried away in the moment…yes, likely but this all needs to be proved with solid cold evidence for a verdict. Poor little crying puppy.

  11. NO six week old puppy (or kitten) should be removed from it’s mother…..the puppy was PROBABLY crying for his mother, and the man had no patience……

I would like to know what PROOF there is that this man is mentally ill?

    • Alan Braganza says:

Agreed 100% that NO puppy or kitten six weeks of age must be removed from its mother…Beautifully inferred Lajeanne Leveton, it is very likely that the little baby dog missed the tender embrace and scent of its mother. The impatient man would not have tolerated a puppy’s wimpering late, late at night when he was trying to sleep or perhaps he was awoken and in rage he tore apart the puppy.
Agreed that the man will need to provide substantial proof of a history of mental illness complete with violent sadistic tendencies. Still, a fitting trial and good old fashioned jailtime may just allow some worthy vindication and reverse justice for the killer…

  12. put a bullet in the head of dallas hicks now for unacceptable killing of a great puppy now.

  13. Sanity Check says:

All true crime is mental illness.
(I say true crime because a number of laws are still unjust.)

The parts of the mind that are bent differ widely, but all true crime is mental illness. Until we recognize that, we will probably remain trapped in an unhelpful crime and punishment mindset.

“said to be mentally ill, but that does not excuse”

The tone here is not one of legal caveat, but of suggestion that he may or may not be mentally ill. Let’s drop that right now. Anyone who does something like this IS ill.

The whole idea of “…ill…but…excuse…” only makes sense within the bubble of crime and punishment.

He’s already been arrested and confessed, so what is this petition asking for? It’s asking for, in addition to mental help, that he be “punished as severely as possible”.

    Punishment doesn’t decrease crime.
    Punishment increases crime.
    Punishment doesn’t decrease mental illness.
    Punishment increases mental illness.

If someone is dangerous, bars or some form of locking up may be unavoidable at our current level of technology, and certainly protects people, at least in the short-term. That can coexist with or without punishment and with or without treatment.

Outside the bubble, we would see “crime and treatment” as paired, and when we focus on that, we see practical improvements in mental illness, including improvements in criminal mindset.

So we have a choice to make: More punishment and more things to punish as a result? Or let go of the satisfying punishment fantasy in favor of treatment?

    • Of course-let’s mollycoddle the brute! Don’t let him think he’s done anything wrong, mustn’t upset him must we. You can do anything if you say you are mentally ill! These clever clever social working types are a total and dangerous nuisance. Why not commit these heinous crimes? You won’t be punished, you will be given lots of attention and understanding and be made to feel very special. Or possibly a taste of their own medicine might be an idea?

    • Alan Braganza says:

Punishment by trial and incarceration is most necessary and will remove the offender from being able to reoffend.
There even may be justifiable action to legally keep the offender in closed premises for years until his medical evaluation demonstrates he may be able to exist with other people.
It is imperative that the sadistic offender never be allowed to be around dogs or animals because his memory state may recall that brutal event and he may be so unstable that he may be triggered and “influenced” to do it again for sadistic gratification.
If not mentally depraved then it may be proved in different perspectives that this offender knew exactly what he did as a selfish manifestation of impatience and rage …because perhaps the offender’s sleep was affected by the distressed puppy’s cries for its mother.
The people who gave the offender the six week old puppy need to be on the stand in court also.
Remember, your suggestion for treatment may or may not work and it may be a matter of time before reoffending as the will of the offender will always manifest his sadistic tendency…
Not all life is good and just as nature makes errors and mutations, such life has its places and boundaries to exist or to be removed plain and simple for the greater good.
Do you know that there is a mass extinction of species going on for decades now and every species is affected in part; however, the only species which is not is humankind. Humans need to enact thousands of added legislation to protect animals.

  15. masayuki tanaka says:

This disturbed hicks is just another undesirable, his life is meaningless; he should be put down for justice’s sake.

  16. Alan Braganza says:

Theoretically, If a million such offenders guilty of sadistic and brutally heinous crimes done to both animals and to other humans, were removed permanently every day for a year that would be 365.25 million people and if repeated for 7 years, then 2.56 billion people would have vanished never to reoffend ever again or clog legal systems and institutions…or really even be missed by the global human population at large; in fact, if this were to actually happen, the mass extinction of species would slow significantly and future generations would have more animals to appreciate. People may not like to admit it but as even time heals a lost loved one; to be rid of a million to several billion such offenders so as to have a better society for the greater good and the improved future of humanity…I already cast my vote here with respect to the probability of life just appearing given the “just right conditions” out of the matter and energy of our universe, yesterday (Earth), today and tomorrow…justice for the sweet little puppy crying for its mother!

  17. What next this sorry excuse for a human being a child maybe Becos proven fact murderers have usually tortured and killed small defenceless animals.
Lock him up throw away the key and never let him be around animals again sick bastard that he is

  18. Sick, sad world, No soul deserves to die like this. I will keep on signing and supporting force change until JUSTICE IS SERVED!
