Target: Alex Gorsky, CEO of Johnson & Johnson
Goal: Stop Johnson & Johnson from cruelly cutting open and killing pigs.
A major household name, Johnson & Johnson, is allegedly using pigs in its laboratories to show sales personnel how its surgical medical device products work and what their purposes are. This is done by cutting into and killing pigs. This was once a common practice, but many, including some of Johnson & Johnson’s major competitors, have stopped using this method and have switched to non-animal methods.
Pigs are highly sensitive and intelligent animals. They are believed to be as smart as the average three-year-old child. It is cruel and unnecessary to continue this practice. Johnson & Johnson is a multi-billion dollar company and has more than enough resources to utilize cruelty-free methods.
Sign this petition and demand Johnson & Johnson stop cruelly killing pigs and begin using technologies that do not require animals.
Dear Mr. Gorsky,
Your company is allegedly using pigs in its laboratories to show sales personnel how your surgical medical device products work. This is done by cutting pigs open and then killing them. It is cruel and unnecessary to continue murdering animals for this purpose. Thanks to today’s technology, there are many non-animal methods available to showcase how your products work.
Pigs are incredibly sensitive, social and intelligent animals. They are among the top five smartest animals on this planet and are believed to be as smart as the average three-year-old child. Many companies, including some of your major competitors, have made the switch to non-animal methods and it’s time for Johnson & Johnson to follow suit.
Please end this practice and stop cruelly killing pigs. Your company has more than enough resources to make the change and these animals do not deserve to be treated as a science experiment any longer.
