Justice for Dogs Reportedly Crated in Heat Without Water

Target: Kevin Beckner, Hillsborough County Commissioner

Goal: Shut down boarding facility where dogs were locked in crates without water and left in the hot sun for hours.

A Florida boarding facility reportedly locked dogs in crates and left them outside in the heat without access to water. This comes on the heels of several neglect and abuse complaints filed against the facility. Demand the immediate and permanent shutdown of this negligent facility.

A shocking video, taken at the Sit N’ Stay boarding facility in Hillsborough county, shows multiple dogs locked in crates and left in the hot sun. The dogs have no access to water for up to 19 hours at a time as part of their “training,” reports claim. When the dogs barked, attendants reportedly threw metal bowls at them and even jabbed them with broom handles. If the dogs did escape, they were reportedly muzzled with leashes that prevented them from panting.

Clarke Inghram, the owner of Sit ‘N Stay, has repeatedly been accused of abuse and neglect in the past. Sign below and demand the immediate and permanent shutdown of this facility.

Dear Commissioner Beckner,

A shocking video taken by a PETA representative shows the gut-wrenching abuse and neglect of dogs at the Sit ‘N Stay boarding facility. The dogs were reportedly subjected to torturous training methods, including water deprivation and heat exposure. Take a stand against animal abuse and shut down this facility.

Sit ‘N Stay boarding attendants allegedly spun dogs in the air with leashes attached to the dog’s choke collars. This abuse, called “helicoptering,” was reportedly used as a way of establishing dominance. Other training methods allegedly included deprivation of food, water, and necessary medications.

This abuse cannot be tolerated. We demand the immediate and permanent shutdown of this facility.

  1. Very cruel act to put upon defenseless dogs these are family pets loving animals why would people be so cruel. And have them suffer. Water don’t cost anything. That is horrible to do there day will come when they rot in hell then you will remember the pain you put these dogs in. And to muzzle them. Why are you people allowed to handle any live animal. You should rot in prison befor you burn in hell

  2. Angela Rabon says:

Well, I guess their name says it all. Sit N Stay…that is sit and stay in your cage while we deprive you of water!! Close this joke of a business down!! Their cruel and abusive practices kill and they need to be STOPPED!!!

  3. Teri Thompson says:

Didn’t the owners of these dogs check out this facility before bringing their dogs there?!

    • This goes to you
      Terry Thompson
Oh please! Of course now someone had to say it’s the pet owners fault and not the facility. Even if the owner check this behavior is not acceptable. I’m sure whoever left their pets there wasn’t paying to have their babies torture like that.

If you’re not going to support the cause then don’t make any stupid comments.

  4. close it down now, put these bad people in the crates in the sun now.

  5. Dorothy Mangas says:

From what I understand, it is Clarke’s daughter kicking and jabbing the eye of the 1st black dog that had the gash. With all the past issues and this, it is clear not only this business be shut down but these people can never be in a position of caring for animals in any way. Jail time is obvious here with a felony taking place. Has police authority stepped in yet?
