Praise Arrest of Alleged Racist Cop

Target: Attorney General Eric Schneiderman

Goal: Applaud arrest of cop who allegedly killed a black man.

NYPD police officer Wayne Isaacs was charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting a black driver in a fit of drunken road rage he claimed was “self-defense.” After the many killings of black men by the police, this is a major step forward for justice and the Black Lives Matter movement. Isaacs was also black, but his race was essentially a non-factor when it came to the protests and reactions to the death of victim Delrawn Small.

“We are not against black cops or white cops — we are against wrong cops,” said Reverend Al Sharpton in response to the killing. Indeed, the most important thing is that a corrupt police officer has finally been punished for his actions. It is one step, but the first step is always the most important.

This great stride in justice is thanks to Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who was appointed special prosecutor of police-on-civilian killings last year. Sign this petition to thank him for putting us on the right path and taking the first step toward a hopefully less corrupt future for the police force.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Attorney General Schneiderman,

Your call for the arrest and prosecution of officer Wayne Isaacs is just what this country needs after so many black men have been killed by the police in the past many years.According to reports, Isaacs shot a black civilian during a drunken fit of rage, later claiming self defense.

Corruption on the police force has existed for far too long, racially motivated or otherwise, but in this case it is especially excellent news. Thank you for finally putting a corrupt officer in his place by revoking his badge, a man like that does not deserve to be in a position of power over innocents.

Sincerely,
