Target: Tilman J. Fertitta, CEO of Landry’s Inc., owner of Downtown Aquarium, Houston, Texas
Goal: Release the four white tigers stuck inside the Downtown Aquarium to an accredited sanctuary.
For 12 years, four white tigers, Nero, Marina, Coral and Reef, have been stuck inside the Downtown Aquarium in Houston. Reportedly, the only sunlight they experience is from glares coming through the small windows of their dreary enclosure. It is time these animals experience a more natural lifestyle.
The four tigers were bred in captivity and have lived almost their entire lives inside the Downtown Aquarium. They have never experienced rolling around in grass and mud, sunbathing, or playing in the rain. Instead they are either confined in a concrete exhibit while visitors gawk at them through the glass, or they are brought to a holding cell. This lifestyle is terribly detrimental to their physical and mental well being.
Sign this petition and demand the Downtown Aquarium release these tigers to an accredited sanctuary. They have been denied everything natural to them for much too long. It is time they live the life they deserve.
Dear Mr. Fertitta
For 12 years, four tigers, Nero, Marina, Coral and Reef, have been stuck inside the Downtown Aquarium and denied everything natural to them. Their current living conditions are extremely detrimental to their mental and physical well being. It is time they are moved to a sanctuary where they can live the lives they were meant to live.
These four tigers have never experienced rolling around in grass, playing in a mud pit or sunbathing. Instead, they live every day in a concrete enclosure while humans gawk at them through thick glass.
Please consider retiring these four beautiful animals and relocating them to an accredited sanctuary. The Animal Legal Defense Fund has offered to do just this at no cost to you. This is an amazing offer for you and the animals. I urge you to think about what is best for these tigers.
