Arrest Officer for Alleged Murder of Black Man

Target: Chuck Jordan, Chief of the Tulsa Police Department

Goal: Arrest a Tulsa police officer for her alleged murder of an unarmed black man with his hands up.

Terence Crutcher was fatally shot by police officer Betty Shelby when his car broke down in the middle of the road. Eyewitnesses say Crutcher had his hands up, was being as innocuous as possible knowing the danger he could be in with the police nearby, and paid with his life anyway.

Another officer claimed Crutcher looked like “one bad dude” despite being unarmed and simply trying to go about his business. It is hardly his fault his car broke down in sight of the police.

This is just another tragedy that should not have been–another black man killed by the police for no reason other than they, personally, think of him as a threat. Even after the many rallying cries of “black lives matter,” the police are still committing such deplorable acts. Black men should not be forced to live in fear of the police.

We cannot let this continue. Betty Shelby must be made an example of via her arrest and trial for the murder of an innocent man. Sign this petition to demand justice for Crutcher and his devastated family.

Dear Chief Jordan,

Betty Shelby fatally shot Terence Crutcher when his car broke down in the middle of the road. He did nothing to warrant any kind of suspicion or rash actions–he had his hands in plain sight the entire time. Eyewitness accounts say the shooting was unwarranted and that the officer had no reason to fear him.

This is not okay. Your police force should not condone such deplorable actions, and Betty Shelby should not be allowed to walk away from her crimes without punishment. Please arrest and suspend her and bring her to trial. Crusher did not deserve this fate and his family does not deserve to grieve for nothing.

Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Terence. May he rest in peace.

This is so sickening! Here we go again, will they ever learn?
The man had his hands up in the air. Walking away to his car. Police tasered him. Then shot him!
He was black and ‘looked’ “like one bad dude”
Fire this so called Officer of the Law, no pension, revoke her gun licence. Nothing less.
These racial prejudice, gun happy excursionist, law unto themselves type cops must be kicked off the Police Force. They shame the good hard working Police Officers, and place their lives in danger, through retaliation.
