Dear Mrs. Mangum,
I am writing to express my concern about the murder of Dee Whigham. Found dead in a hotel room, Whigham was stabbed 119 times, with most of the stab wounds appearing on her face. Her throat was also slashed three times. Even more troubling is the fact that Whigham was a transgender woman, which may have contributed to the motive around her violent murder.
Regardless of the victim’s gender, such a vicious attack deserves severe punishment. I urge you to use all available resources to investigate this murder and bring this innocent woman’s killer to justice.
