Target: Randy Meeks, Sheriff of Hunt County
Goal: Investigate allegations around the abuse and death of Tina the horse made against Texas A&M University.
Tina the pregnant horse suffered from laminitis, was denied proper veterinary care and then killed, according to information allegedly from inside Texas A&M University. It was recently reported that racehorse Oasis Storm, also known as Tina, was used as part of the university’s equine program and that she was treated horribly.
Laminitis is a very painful condition and unfortunately it seems that along with being denied proper veterinary care, Tina also was not given proper pain management medication. Upon further investigation, it was allegedly discovered that Tina was five months pregnant. She was then allegedly killed by a farm manager and her fetus was cut out of her to be used in the school’s equine program.
What allegedly happened to Tina is an atrocity. Sign this petition and demand the Hunt County sheriff investigate these allegations.
Dear Sheriff Meeks,
Recently, information was allegedly leaked from inside the equine program at Texas A&M University regarding a former racehorse, Oasis Storm, also known as Tina.
Apparently, Tina suffered from an extreme case of laminitis and was denied proper veterinary care and proper pain management medication. She was allegedly constantly experiencing extreme pain due to her condition. It was also allegedly discovered that Tina was five months pregnant. She was then allegedly killed by a farm manager, not a properly trained veterinarian, and allegedly had her fetus cut out of her for the school’s equine program.
If this is true, what happened to Tina is an atrocity. Please investigate these allegations and make sure that another horse does not goes through what Tina had to endure.
