Investigate Allegations That Trump University Bribed Public Officials

Target: Rick Scott, Governor of Florida

Goal: Investigate allegations of bribery of public officials by Trump University.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was accused of bribery due to a campaign donation from the Trump Foundation. In 2013, Bondi allegedly solicited a donation from Donald Trump around the same time that her office announced it was looking to join a New York investigation into the allegations made against Trump University, a real-estate education program that many attendants have called a scam and was not registered as a legal university. A few days later, the group And Justice for All, which was campaigning to keep Bondi in office, received a check for $25,000 from the Trump Foundation. A month later, Bondi decided not to pursue the case.

In addition to the bribery allegations, it is important to note that this donation was illegal because non-profit organizations are not allowed to donate to political campaigns. Of course, Trump and his advisers have said they complied with their punishment, which was a $2,500 fine from the IRS, and that everything was just a mistake made by his accounting department. The donation went unnoticed for so long because the Trump Foundation filed it as a donation to a similarly-named charity out of Kansas, which never received the documented donation.

It only makes sense for Florida to take special interest in this case because many of its residents were effected. A large majority of people who were allegedly taken advantage of were seniors, and the state is listed as one of the places the organization marketed in most. Having Florida join New York and others in this investigation would have allowed the lawsuit to gain more ground and bring these allegations to trial. Demand an investigation into these allegations of corruption and wrongdoing.

Dear Mr. Scott,

Allegations against Trump University are sound and nationwide. Your offices can no longer ignore the complaints being made that this program was a scam which cheated Americans, especially Florida residents, out of a lot of money. The Florida Attorney General’s office were considering joining New York in this investigation but after a large donation was made to their campaign, the case was not pursued. It is no secret that Bondi is an outspoken Trump supporter, which only raises people’s suspicions that bribery was involved.

While Donald Trump enjoys his planes and tall towers, many who paid for this “college” training are now bankrupt and suffering. Do right by those who voted for you and investigate the charges made against Trump University.

  1. You need to worry more about Hillary deleted emails and all those she likely has bribed to cover it up…

    • Barbara H. Vinson says:

No kidding. Well, dear, Trump is even a bigger crook, so why don’t you use your head and do a little research. To think that that piece of human excrement is running for president! A brainless, bigoted bastard with no feeling whatever and no empathy for others. His is a case of buying his way in because it’s cheap and easy for him. Heaven help the nation if he gets into the oval office.

  2. If you truly care about the concept of corruption in public office, then this is an important issue to you no matter how you voted. This is double true now that President-Elect Trump is going to be in office
