Target: Steven Kavanagh, Chief Constable of Essex
Goal: Find and severely punish whoever cruelly shot a goose with crossbow.
A goose was found with a crossbow bolt lodged next to its spine. X-rays showed the six-inch bolt was only millimeters away from the spine, where it would’ve paralyzed the bird if it had hit. The goose was miraculously still swimming and able to stretch its wings, according to RSPCA inspector Marie Hammerton. The poor animal was rushed into surgery to have the bolt removed, but the veterinarian isn’t sure if it will survive. Hammerton said that it appeared the goose was shot deliberately by someone who was standing directly above it.
Appeals for information leading to the person who did this have been made by the RSPCA members, but so far, they remain at large. Unless this person is captured and severely punished, chances are they will seek to satisfy their sadistic urges again by killing more innocent creatures. Please add your signature to this petition urging authorities to step in and do everything possible to find out who committed this senseless act of cruelty and punish them severely.
Dear Chief Kavanagh,
An innocent goose was found with a six-inch bolt wedged into its back, only millimeters away from the spine. According to the RSPCA inspector, someone deliberately shot this animal and left it for dead. The bird was rushed into surgery to have the bolt removed, but authorities aren’t sure whether the poor animal will survive.
This is a despicable act of senseless, pure cruelty against a harmless creature. Whoever did this is a danger to society and should be put behind bars so that no other animals are harmed. Please make it a personal priority to find out who did this and see to it that they’re prosecuted to the most severe extent possible.
