Target: Paul Bernat, Police Chief of Dover, Delaware
Goal: Save cats allegedly given to admitted cat torturer and killer and make sure this man never owns animals again.
A man who pleaded guilty to killing 19 cats allegedly adopted more cats from six unsuspecting people after responding to their free pet ads. Anthony Appolonia was sentenced to jail in 2008 of torturing and killing 19 cats. According to reports, he used his bare hands to break their tiny bones before strangling them. Appolonia was released from prison after serving a measly five years. Now, authorities must investigate to find out if yet more cats have ended up in this killer’s hands.
It would be an atrocious injustice if this animal killer has been allowed to collect more innocent animals to torture, harm, or kill. The prosecutor even noted during sentencing that Appolonia deliberately made the animals suffer before killing them. There’s no good excuse for a person known for torturing and murdering innocent, small animals to be able to do it again. Perhaps if the sentence was more suitable for the disgusting crimes, the safety of these innocent cats wouldn’t be a concern. Please add your signature to this petition to demand that the authorities act immediately to find out if these cats are in a killers’ hands and save them before it’s too late.
Dear Chief Bernat,
Cats may be in extreme danger after six unsuspecting owners say they gave the animals to a man who pleaded guilty to being a cat murderer. Authorities say that they’re investigating Anthony Appolonia, who was sentenced for torturing and murdering 19 cats years ago, to find out if he has the cats.
This dangerous man shouldn’t even be running the streets free after the sadistic, violent crimes he admitted to committing against helpless animals. Please ensure that action is taken immediately to save the cats before it’s too late, and make sure that Appolonia is never allowed to own animals again.
