Target: San Diego County Animal Control – North Shelter,
Jessie is a beautiful Palomino mare that lives a sad life of loneliness and isolation which threatens her physical and mental well being. She is never taken out of her tiny enclosure for exercise and is never ridden. She receives no affection, attention, or even a kind word from her owners. Dried grass is tossed into her enclosure once a day by people who have many animals on their property kept in isolation and filth, and who have no time for her. Animal control was called when Jessie was ankle-deep in her own filth and had to lie down in her own manure. But ever since the Animal Control call, neighbors who had visited Jessie regularly to check on her welfare, brush her, and offer her some fresh grass and carrots were forbidden by the owners from ever approaching Jessie again, and threatened with prosecution. Now Jessie suffers continual solitary confinement. Please contact San Diego County Animal Control (North Shelter) to rescue Jessie so that she may find freedom, solace, and companionship!
