Target: Fulton County Sheriff Ted Jackson
Goal: Justice for puppy tortured, starved, and thrown over a fence.
A three-month-old puppy named Caleb was rushed to an emergency veterinary facility after apparently being thrown over a fence. Arriving at the facility the veterinary medical team discovered evidence that the puppy was severely malnourished, and covered in what appeared to be old cigarette burns. He had a broken jaw and head trauma from being thrown over the wall. Together, these represent evidence of prolonged abuse.
While Caleb survived his injuries and is recovering in a safe environment, his abuser remains at large in the community. Given the abuse Caleb suffered, it is not unreasonable to expect that his abuser will abuse other animals. Sign our petition and demand that the person who abused Caleb be found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Dear Sheriff Jackson,
Recently, a three-month-old puppy named Caleb was rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic after a Fulton County resident allegedly witnessed the puppy being thrown over a wall. When veterinary professionals examined the dog they found evidence that it had been starved and burned with cigarettes. This evidence is disturbing, but not as disturbing as the thought that someone who would torture a puppy remains at large in the community.
I was pleased to see that this matter is being investigated as an act of animal cruelty. I urge you to do everything in your power to ensure that, when identified, the culprit is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
