Target: Eric Ward, Tampa Chief of Police

Goal: Prosecute suspect who drunkenly beat Pinky the flamingo to death.

A flamingo has been euthanized after being picked up and thrown to the ground by a drunk man at Busch Gardens in Tampa. The flamingo, known as Pinky, sustained injuries from the beating that were so severe as to be considered untreatable by veterinarians.

Joseph Anthony Corrao was arrested as a result of his cruel actions. Corrao was visiting the Jambo Junction animal viewing area with his family when, according to witnesses and Tampa police, he reached into an animal pen and grabbed Pinky. Corrao then threw the bird to the ground.

“Due to the defendant’s unnecessary actions and excessive force, the flamingo had to be euthanized,” said police in a statement. Witnesses described Carrao as visibly drunk before grabbing the bird, and he has since been arrested on charges of animal cruelty.

Pinky was a beloved icon at Busch Gardens, and his death at the hands of such a cruel and senseless man is tragic. Sign the petition below to demand that this boorish man be punished to the full extent of the law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Ward,

I am writing to demand justice for Pinky the flamingo. A popular mainstay at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Pinky was euthanized after being assaulted by a drunken patron. According to police and witnesses, the man grabbed the defenseless bird and slammed it to the ground.

Pinky was a beloved member of the park’s animal attraction, and his tragic death must not go unpunished. Please prosecute this boorish man to the full extent of the law.

Sincerely,

  1. PUT THIS DRUNK TO DEATH NOW FOR MESSING WITH WILDLIFE.

  2. Paul Frank says:

I read in the paper this person is a habitual offender. aggressive assault on a 65 year old, fleeing law enforcement, felony DWI, now felony animal cruelty. Since the state of Florida can’t keep this person behind bars the federal government should step in and prosecute him on federal cruelty to animal charges. Why hasn’t he been charged with criminal destruction of privet property for destroying a bird who belongs to someone else. $2000 bale is ludicrous.

  3. Absolutely disgusted by this worthless idiots actions. He is dangerous to society and needs to be locked up behind bars for good. He is a repeat offender and has proven tthat be a serious threat and danger to society. He needs to pay for his cruel actions and be punished to the maximum time permitted by law. I do not feel safe knowing a monster like him could potentially be roaming the cImmunity. It is an absolute tragedy to lose such a beloved bird who was completely innocent and defenseless. Lock this monster up please!!
