Target: Hon’ble Law Minister Sri Allola Indra Karan Reddy
Goal: Issue severe penalty for men who reportedly tied puppies together and burned them alive.
A group of young men reportedly tied puppies together and set them on fire, burning the poor animals alive. In the video they recorded, one of the men can reportedly be heard telling the others to set the puppies on fire. Reports say the puppies began shrieking and trying to run away, but the teenagers only shoved them back into the fire.
This senseless murder of animals just goes to show that India’s animal cruelty laws are pathetically weak. The maximum punishment is a measly three months imprisonment. How many more innocent animals have to be tortured to death for authorities to start caring? Please sign this petition demanding that animal abusers be penalized severely, starting with this group of cruel people.
Dear Hon’ble Reddy,
Yet another disturbing case of animal cruelty occurred in your country when three young men reportedly tied puppies together and burned them alive. The incident, which was filmed, was done with malicious intent, yet nobody wants to take up for the helpless creatures who continue to be tortured on a regular basis in India.
The deplorably weak animal cruelty laws must be strengthened, starting with this case. We demand that the people responsible for the torture and murder of these puppies be given the most severe penalty possible.
