Target: Miriam Kruger, Executive Director of Motor City Comic Con, Farmington Hills, Michigan
Goal: Do not host Pocket Pets, a company that sells sugar gliders, at Motor City Comic Con.
The Motor City Comic Con is planning on hosting Pocket Pets, a traveling company that sells sugar gliders. Sugar gliders are small marsupials that belong in the wild, not people’s homes.
Sugar gliders are nocturnal animals who enjoy playing and living among the trees in large groups. When these animals are sold as pets, they are then stuck in cages alone, kept awake during the day, fed unnatural diets and then usually forgotten about when the family becomes bored with them.
It’s a sad life for sugar gliders and other exotic pets stuck in captivity because they were never meant for one. These animals belong in the wild. Sign this petition and demand the Motor City Comic Con no longer host Pocket Pets.
Dear Ms. Kruger,
The Motor City Comic Con is planning on hosting the traveling company, Pocket Pets, which sells sugar gliders. Sugar gliders are small marsupials that belong in the wild, not people’s homes.
Sugar gliders are nocturnal animals who enjoy living in large groups and playing in trees. These animals cannot live anything close to a natural life when they are stuck in people’s homes. When these animals are held in captivity, they are confined to cages, fed improper diets, kept awake during the day and are typically alone. Captivity denies everything natural to these animals.
Please consider no longer hosting Pocket Pets at your Comic Con. Sugar gliders are living, feeling animals, not novelty items.
