Target: Walter Slippers, Owner of Ingogo Safaris
Goal: Ensure the retirement of all lions from a breeding facility due to the alleged neglect these animals face daily.
Around 250 lions are reportedly showing obvious signs of malnutrition at a breeding facility in South Africa called Ingogo Safaris. Photos of the lions at the facility show prominent rib cages and hip bones. It is heartbreaking to see the animals in such terrible conditions.
The lions at this facility are bred in order for tourists to “hunt.” Not only are the lions stuck in an enclosure, but they are also quite weak after the neglect they face. All of these factors make the hunt extremely unfair. Sign this petition to demand Ingogo Safaris retire all its animals to an accredited sanctuary where they can live out the rest of their days happily among friends.
Dear Mr. Slippers,
Recently, photos of the lions at your facility have been released and the images are hard to look at. It is clear the lions are severely malnourished. In fact, they are so malnourished that their ribs and hip bones are sticking out. The images are heartbreaking and disturbing to see.
I am asking you to consider retiring all your lions to an accredited sanctuary. At a sanctuary, these animals will receive proper food, water and veterinary care. In addition, they will be able to roam through the trees, play in water and relax with friends. At a sanctuary, they could truly be happy.
Please find the kindness in your heart and consider retiring your animals to a sanctuary. If you truly love these animals, then you know what is right for them.
