Justice for Cat Reportedly Cooked Alive

Target: Shawn Heubusch, Police Chief of Batavia, New York

Goal: Seek maximum penalty for man who allegedly cooked a cat alive.

A cat was reportedly found dead inside of a man’s oven when firefighters responded to a smoke alarm. Detectives believe the cat was alive when 42-year-old Darren Annovi put it inside the oven. No reason has been given for this horrific, torturous incident.

Annovi was charged with aggravated animal cruelty and is scheduled to appear in court this month. This is the behavior of a severely deranged and dangerous person. The alleged act of cooking a cat alive is purely torturous and evil. Not only was a cat tormented and murdered, but the other residents living in the apartment building were also put at risk. Please add your signature to the petition below demanding justice for this poor cat and protection for other animals.

Dear Mr. Heubusch,

A man was charged with aggravated animal cruelty after firefighters responded to a smoke alarm inside his apartment and found a dead cat in the oven. Detectives believe the cat was alive when the owner decided to cook it.

This type of torturous behavior is inexcusable. We urge you to take this extremely heinous case of animal cruelty seriously and see to it that the owner gets the maximum penalty and is permanently banned from owning animals if found guilty.

I wrote to Force Change and asked why they were still featuring 4 year old petitions (I don’t mean this one). Not only did I not get an answer, I think they’ve taken me off their mailing list for asking inconvenient questions. Be careful, signers, as these petitions can be used as a good way of getting hold of lists of email addresses and other details which can later be sold on.
