Justice for Dog Who Lost a Third of Skin After Being Dragged By Car

Target: Charles Simono, District Attorney for Forest County

Goal: Seek maximum punishment for person responsible for dragging a dog behind a vehicle.

A dog is facing life-threatening injuries after being dragged behind a motor vehicle for a considerable distance. The dog, a beagle named Josephine, had more than a third of her skin ripped from her body during the ordeal. Jay Schaefer, President of the local Humane Society, called it the most shocking case of deliberate animal abuse he has ever seen.

While Josephine is in great pain, she was extremely fortunate not to sustain any internal, skeletal, or muscular injuries. Her prognosis is therefore “dim, but hopeful,” according to the Forest County Humane Society. She is currently on pain medication and intravenous antibiotics, and will require several surgeries, including a possible amputation of one of her front legs.

Josephine’s skin is healing at a rate of about a quarter of an inch per week, so she has a long recovery ahead of her, should she survive. The Humane Society is currently doing everything possible to ensure her survival, with hopes of eventually finding her a loving home. It is currently unknown whether or not she will require special care for the remainder of her life.

This cruel act could result in a lifetime of pain and disability for this innocent dog. According to authorities, an arrest has already been made in connection to the case. Sign the petition below to demand that the person found responsible of this heinous crime is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Dear Mr. Simono,

The Forest County Humane Society is currently taking care of a dog facing life-threatening injuries after being dragged from a car for a considerable distance. The beagle, named Josephine, is missing over a third of her skin and is facing a possible amputation of her front leg. She will require several surgeries and could take months to recover, if she survives.

This type of deliberate cruelty is appalling and must not be taken lightly. Someone capable of this degree of violence could be a threat to both animals and humans for as long as they are on the streets. We, the undersigned, ask that you seek to punish the person responsible of this crime to the fullest extent of the law.

  1. Someone should tie whoever did this to a car bumper by their ankles and drag them a few miles down the road then pour rubbing alcohol all over them.

Shit is way too out of hand these days!

    A EYE for a EYE!
If people would get the same shit done to them that they do to to any living creature or person this should would end real quick.

Its so sickening that some people are such vile evil and ignorant pieces of shit.

    No regard for life.

ALL LIVES MATTER, weather they be human or animal.

  2. pagealanda says:

Her owner did it, he is in custody

  3. Cecily Colloby says:

Drag whoever did this behind a car ’til they are totally skinned and hopefully dead-that way we’ll be rid of another waste of space animal abuser…
