Thank Company for Banning Ostrich Skin

Target: Bruce Philip Rockowitz, CEO of Global Brands Group

Goal: Thank fashion company Global Brands Group for banning ostrich derived products.

Animal rights organization PETA recently released undercover footage of ostriches being beaten and killed for fashion accessories. The footage was hard to watch as employees would hit the ostriches, rip out their feathers while still conscious, and slit their throats.

Thankfully, not all companies decided to turn a blind eye to these atrocities due to greediness. Global Brands Group has decided to ban all ostrich derived products from the companies it controls. These brands include Jennifer Lopez, Juicy Couture, David Beckham, and Rachel Zoe.

Sign this petition and thank Global Brands Group for making this humane decision. Countless lives will be spared, and hopefully more companies follow in its footsteps.

Dear Mr. Rockowitz,

Thanks to the animal rights organization PETA, footage was leaked of the abuse, torture, and pain ostriches on ostrich farms face for the sake of fashion accessories. The footage was hard to watch and unfortunately most brands decided to turn a blind eye due to greediness. However, your company did not.

After seeing the footage, your company made the bold move to ban all ostrich derived products. I want to thank you for making such a compassionate decision. It is heartwarming to see companies like yours make decisions that help the world become a kinder place.

I hope that more companies follow in your footstep and spare countless lives. No animal should be killed for a fashion accessory.

  2. At least, one company is showing some decency and compassion!

The torturing and killing of animals in the fashion industry is appalling.

We are becoming a nation of savages! Thanks for those that keep us from descending into one of complete selfish and sadistic monsters!

  3. Jennifer Hayes says:

I cannot sign this petition because it of wishes to employ a sweeping ban. Torture of animals is cruel and unnecessary, there are ways of killing animals which are far more humane. We eat the meat (and ostrich meat is the nicest most delicious meat I’ve ever tasted) we use the feathers (bearing in mind birds shed their feathers twice a year so no need for any cruelty there). I do object to unnecessary cruelty and definitely of torture though.

There is no such thing as humane slaughter. All animals want to live. Taking their lives is as cruel as it is unnecessary.
