Target: Stuart Gulliver, CEO of HSBC
Goal: Thank HSBC for pulling ad that featured a child kissing a captive dolphin.
Banking giant HSBC recently had an ad that displayed a child kissing a captive dolphin. After hearing about all the atrocities captive dolphins face, HSBC decided to pull the ad.
Dolphins are highly intelligent animals and when they are held captive it takes a toll on them physically and mentally. Instead of swimming miles everyday, captive dolphins are forced to entertain crowds and swim circles in tanks. The stress of captive life can even shorten a dolphin’s life span.
Sign this petition and thank HSBC for not supporting the exploitation of animals and pulling this ad.
Dear Mr. Gulliver,
Recently, HSBC had an advertisement that featured a child kissing a captive dolphin. After hearing about the physical and mental stress captive life puts on dolphins, you decided to pull the ad.
Thank you for pulling this ad and no longer supporting this form of animal exploitation. Dolphins belong in the wild where they can swim miles in the vast ocean and play with friends. Putting these intelligent creatures in small tanks is barbaric and unnecessary.
You have made the compassionate choice and I hope you inspire other companies to follow in your footsteps.
