Animals Found Dead and Malnourished at Shelter Deserve Justice

Street-Dog-by-Tal-Safran

Target: Andy Beshear, Attorney General of Kentucky

Goal: Punish animal shelter for allegedly allowing malnourished animals to suffer and die.

Over 60 animals were reportedly rescued from an animal shelter after a child found a dead dog in a kennel. The Humane Society says that dozens of animals were malnourished from being underfed and denied water. Rescuers found three dead cats and a dead dog at the shelter, while some of the live animals were in such poor condition they had to be euthanized.

The rescued animals would have probably ended up dying, just like the dog and three cats. The immense suffering they endured from hunger and thirst is unimaginable. Please sign this petition to urge authorities to help make sure that the animal shelter worker is brought to justice so that no more animals have to suffer the same fate.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Beshear,

A child reportedly found a dead dog in animal shelter kennel, leading authorities to find several more dead and over 60 malnourished animals at the shelter. The Humane Society rescued the animals, but some of them still had to be euthanized due to such neglectful conditions.

There is no excuse for animals to suffer to the point of malnourishment and death at an animal shelter. We urge you to help bring the shelter worker to justice and ensure that no more animals suffer there.

Sincerely,

Dog’s are very special social animals and can teach dime a dozen humans a thing or two. I would like to get my hands on these ass wipes. Why the fuck do humans have so much protection and animals do not.
We could do with a billion people wiped off this beautiful planet.

    • As can CATS! But too many humans don’t want to accept that fact, either. Let’s wipe out speciesism – the CORE issue.

  2. C.OConnor says:

Shut this place down and fire everyone that worked there. Apparently they don’t understand the word “shelter”.

    • Agreed. How could any possible staff have possibly MISSED seeing these dead animals & the conditions they were forced to live in?

The word “shelter” has been misappropriated and abused ever since ‘shelters’ became KILLING “CLEANSER” institutions to assuage appropriate GUILT stemming from people’s irresponsibilities towards other species. I suggest we need rename them more accurately, according to what each of them REALLY does or doesn’t do.

  3. make this shelter better for helping the great homeless animals .

  4. Life in solitary would be the best punishment for these cruel BAS####S!!!

  5. What part of the words Animal SHELTER do they not understand?? These people had several options here and chose to ignore all of them!!! A child, no-less finds a dead dog…how disgraceful… she has to live with this for the rest of her life. Why didn’t this crowed call for help? Public or any other Animal Welfare group when ‘things’ were not going well.
Sorry, no excuses. This lot should be fined, jailed and never be allowed near animals EVER again.

  6. Gary Kemp says:

The strongest possible deterrents should be enacted into law everywhere in the world to protect animals. And people working with animals, voluntary or not, or caring for them as “pets” should undergo strict screening and criminal and mental health checks first.
