Target: Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister
Goal: Severely punish man accused of recklessly jumping into a zoo enclosure and antagonizing a lion while drunk.
A drunk man reportedly jumped into a zoo enclosure and antagonized a lion. A video showed the man facing a lion and holding his hand out. This trespassing not only endangered the man, but also the lion. Take a stand for animal rights and demand the harshest punishment in this case.
Thirty-five-year-old Mukesh is lucky to be alive, per zoo staff. The lion never attacked despite the man’s attempt to shake its hand. This incident comes on the heels of another, wherein a man jumped into a lion enclosure with the intention of committing suicide. He was not so lucky. Two lions died in that case, shot to death in order to protect the man.
An innocent lion could have died due to Mukesh’s carelessness. He has been arrested and charged under the Wildlife Protection Act. Sign below and demand that he receive the harshest penalty if convicted.
Dear Chief Minister Naidu,
A drunk man reportedly jumped into a zoo enclosure and antagonized a lion, endangering both him and the lion. We demand the harshest punishment for this trespasser.
Mukesh, as he is known, was allegedly inebriated when he jumped into the 12-foot-deep enclosure. A video showed him strolling up to a lion and attempting to shake her hand. Zoo officials were able to free Mukesh before an attack occurred. However, this act could have resulted in multiple injuries, including the unnecessary death of the lion.
This is the second recent incident wherein a person has illegally entered a lion enclosure. A precedent must be set. We demand the harshest punishment for this man.
