Make Forced Oral Sex on an Unconscious Person Illegal

gavel-by-joe-gratz

Target: Jeffrey Hickman, Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives

Goal: Classify forced oral sex on an unconscious person as rape, making it illegal and punishable by law.

It’s not illegal to force someone into having oral sex if the person is unconscious according to a recent ruling by an Oklahoma criminal appeals court based on the state’s laws. This is disgusting, unjust, and must be changed.

The court was ruling on a case of a 17-year-old boy who was charged with forced oral sodomy for having oral sex with a 16-year-old girl while she was unconscious from drinking. DNA evidence confirmed the act occurred, but according to the court it wasn’t considered rape because there’s no mention of “unconsciousness” or “intoxication” in the state’s legal definition of a forcible oral sodomy crime. However, both words are mentioned in the state’s rape law.

This girl was traumatized and her perpetrator will get away with it because Oklahoma lawmakers haven’t stepped up to protect its people from sexual assault. Urge officials to enact a law making forced oral sex illegal when someone is unconscious.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Speaker Hickman,

A 17-year-old boy who was charged with forced oral sodomy for having oral sex with a 16-year-old girl while she was unconscious from drinking. The boy will face no consequences for his sickening actions because there are no laws in place to protect people in Oklahoma from heinous crimes such as this.

It’s your job as a lawmaker to ensure cases like this end in consequence upheld by law. I demand you enact a law making forced oral sex while someone is unconscious a crime.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Honestly This is a disgusting act! No one could say it’s ok! Let alone legal. What if it happened to ur daughter or sister or mother? Then would u say It’s ok to let this boy walk away without charges?!! I’m sickened by the lack of common sense here! How can this even need an aguement?!

  2. M Leybra says:

If not mistaken, parents are responsible for care of 16 yr. old. Yes, law should be passed to make this a prosecutable crime & parents should be prosecuted for irresponsible care of their underage dependent & child protective services should become involved in care of the 16 yr. old & leave the rest of us in peace from even having to read about this s–t w/ all the taxpayer funded agencies we pay for to handle garbage like this.

  3. It would already be a case of sexual attack and therefore carry some jail time. I see more of a problem here with underage drinking!

  4. Karen Remnant says:

No sexual act performed on a person unable to give consent should legal!! All this does is send a message saying stop short of penetration and your home free! Disgusting!

  5. Piotr Grabowski says:

Yeah, make everything illegal, like that would prevent things from happening… What a bullshit attitude!

    1. Some UNRESPONSIBLE girl got drunk so she passed out, some unresponsible dude probably make a nasty joke on her and now someone’s bitching because this girl is ashamed. Eat your shame, maby this will teach you some responsibility if your parents didn’t. This also goes to that bou – you don’t put your junk into somebody’s mouth to make a drunk joke.

    2. You can not “force” someone who is unconcious! This is illogical! “Forcing” means there is an equal opposite reaction. The author of this petition must be some stupid or 13-years old undeducated-yet-egocentric… You go back to school, read some books and learn your English and logic before you spam ForceChange.org.

  6. Piotr Grabowski says:

EDIT: make a nasty joke = made a nasty joke (past tense of course).

  7. THE VERY FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ANYONE TO DO IF A PERSON IS UNCONSCIOUS IS ENSURE TO MAINTAIN A CLEAR AIRWAY! QUITE APART FROM BEING HEDONISTICALLY DEBASE AND DISGUSTING, THE ACTUAL BLOCKING OF AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON’S AIRWAY IS CRIMINAL INTENT!

  8. This is a disgusting ruling. Rape is rape.
