Seek Maximum Sentence for Dog Abuser

Target: Knox County Judge, Stan Wojcik

Goal: Seek maximum sentence for man who starved and abandoned 15 dogs.

Recently an individual was shocked and appalled to discover 11 malnourished dogs abandoned on his or her newly purchased property in Knox County, Indiana. A county official reported that is the singular worst case of animal abuse that their area has seen in nearly 40 years.

The door to the residence had to be forcibly opened, at which point several dogs burst out and ran desperately for their freedom. Some of the animals were not as lucky and were found deceased within the home. The director of the Vincennes Animal Shelter, Laura Arial, disclosed the the animals were likely abandoned for up to two years.

Bone fragments and other remains were also discovered in the immediate vicinity both on the lawn and concealed in a plastic garbage bag. Officials later arrested a man by the name of Gary Dunt in relation to this case of abuse and neglect. He faces a total of 33 counts for these crimes, but has since posted bail. Sign this petition and urge the Knox County judge to consider this man for the maximum sentence if he is indeed found guilty of any number of these counts.

Dear Judge Wojcik,

A resident of Knox County recently discovered 11 abandoned animals on his or her newly purchased property. This is a severe case of abuse unlike any other that you have likely witnessed in your time presiding over this district. Four more dogs were found deceased and the others required life-saving care.

Gary Dunt has been arrested and charged with 33 counts in relation to neglect and abuse. Someone at one point made the commitment to take care of these dogs and until now has been able to shun that responsibility to the extreme without repercussion.

Pets do not have the ability to care for themselves and thus we urge you to set an example which will help ensure that cases of abuse, cruelty, and neglect do not have any place in Indiana or anywhere else in the country.

  1. This dog abusing/murdering POS needs to have the death penalty implemented.

  2. Lawren Rudley says:

Death penalty after he suffers same torture he put those poor animals through

  3. Nancy Dunlap says:

This individual should get the death penalty. He is useless to society.

  4. todd fletcher says:

This Turd needs the shit beat out of him!

  5. What a cowardly, callous, and despicable thing to do to animals! This person should be starved and thrown in jail for a very long time. This is appalling, this is shocking, this is UNCONSCIONABLE.

  7. Is KNOX COUNTY going to prosecute. Why are these crazies out in society? Tax payers want justice. These animal abusers must be dealt with a heavy hand OR they repeatedly acquire and abuse more animals causing tax payers even more money.

  8. No, no, no … This cannot and should never be tolerated for a second in the 21st century. I do not advocate the death penalty, but in such cases, I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment. This is intolerable and the lack of severe punishment is giving these rotten, worthless people the right to re-offend. This must end and now, not soon, immediately. Sick to death of having to be confronted with the same issues of animal abuse and cruelty of the worst possible nature just because the laws aren’t severe enough. Most of these degenerates already have length charge sheets, one more on the list means nothing to them, they probably consider it a merit award. This is the shit we are dealing with.
