Fire Man Filmed Beating Dog With Pipe Wrench

Target: David Mimun of Start Corporation

Goal: Terminate employee allegedly responsible for animal brutality.

Home surveillance equipment recently captured a Start Corporation employee appearing to brutally strike a family pet in the face with a pipe wrench.

Unbeknownst to the Willcox family, a contractor entered their property apparently unscheduled and unannounced. They did not discover the man’s presence until after he had left their dog beaten and bloody. He claimed to be there to check their power meter, but refused to identify himself by name. One of the Willcox family members reported offering to bring both of their dogs inside, but the man assured them that it was okay to leave them in the yard. It wasn’t until he was leaving their property that the family noticed that Flash, an 8-year-old Weimaraner, was bleeding profusely and missing a tooth. The video would later reveal multiple violent actions taken on both of their dogs by the contractor.

Flash  has an upcoming surgery because of this incident and the family estimates the costs to exceed $2000. His owner, Mike Willcox, reported that Flash has never been violent and is a very friendly pet. He went on to say, “It was like the guy was swinging to kill.”

The president of Start Corporation, David Mimun, was interviewed regarding the incident. He started by stating that his employees do thousands of these jobs every day but then went on to say,  “In a situation like this, you don’t know that there’s a dog in the yard, so you can’t be prepared to avoid a situation like this.”

If it is true that Mimun’s employees perform this job innumerable times each day, it only seems appropriate that the employees would be properly trained to handle family pets by nonlethal means.  Sign this petition and urge the employer to not allow this man to commit further violent acts on any animal.

Dear Mr. Mimun,

Due to a recent incident involving one of your employees at a Kingwood residence in which said worker is alleged to have savagely struck a dog in the skull with a pipe wrench, we urge you to take steps in terminating the worker’s employment by the Start Corporation. Actions such as these are unacceptable and against your own policy.

To not terminate this man would be sending a message that violent actions against animals will be tolerated within your company. We urge you to send a better message that indicates unwarranted animal violence will not be tolerated, especially when on a private residence.

  1. Bastard —- share far and wide people!! Get this POS what he deserves. Prayers for the precious pooch and his family – may they heal and come out it even stronger.

  2. No brainer, fire him on the spot. He is a dangerous individual. Police have to be involved. Anyone out there contacted the police to pick this menace to society up? Are the kids getting abused?

  3. Not only fire him but he should be beat in public – his family should as well -because they are probably just as fuked up as him.
If it were my dogs – he would not have left the property and subsequently not have to be fired!

  4. I hope Flash is alright =(

  5. don hughes says:

Seriously, how can or would Mimun stop this employee from abusing another animal? Termination of employment and criminal charges would be the appropriate steps. Why isn’t the family pressing for criminal charges. Suing the company is another approach, contact Animal Legal Defense Fund to see if you have a case.

  6. I would do way more than to Fire that Piece Of Shit!!!!

  7. I don’t care if he was there to turn off the meter, although apparently that was a lie since this story says he was there to check the meter, he should have asked the owners to put the dogs inside. If he does not have that much common sense I don’t think he needs to be working with electricity.

  8. kathy terrell says:

fire the employee and sue the company. They should be responsible for all vet bills.

  9. Kae Blecha, OTR says:

At the very least, check on this guy’s wife and kids, and make sure his co-workers know not to go out drinking with him. He has a hair trigger and he’s violent.

    • Another good point! AND, authorities should be checking on whether HIS family has animals, too.

But notice this “contractor’s” or “employee’s” (which IS it, exactly?) name isn’t even being revealed?

  10. Yah, sure…like the guy’s LEGS and MOUTH were broken, that he couldn’t run away (since he obviously got IN the yard without a problem) or call for help if he (stupidly) felt threatened? Come on, he’s obviously got an abusive personality. If I were his employer, I’d not only be firing his sorry ass, but I’d be working behind the scenes to black-ball him as part of deserved consequences for what he did to Flash. And if I were Flash’s family, I’d be suing the ass off Start Corporation.

  12. “So many people insist they are against animal abuse, cruelty, suffering and the inhumane treatment of animals, yet they don’t understand they are actively engaging in and supporting egregious suffering, abuse, cruelty and inhumane treatment when they eat animals and their ‘by-products.’ If you are against cruelty, suffering and inhumane treatment, then you go vegan. It’s just that simple.” – Sarah Kiser

  13. Firing him is the least thing to do, are charges being filed for FELONY ANIMAL ABUSE. I would hope so. Obviously this guy needs to be put away. IF NO CHARGES FILED THEN SUE START CORPORATION!!

  14. If it was my pet he would have be shot on the spot!

    He needs to be fired!
He needs to be publicly beaten with a pipe wrench to the head.

    A eye for a eye!

  15. Czerny A. says:

The man knew there were dogs in the yard. He wanted an excuse to beat a dog. Fire him and sue him for expenses.

  16. Gene Sengstake says:

We read stories like this every day. And then there are those we never even hear about. You have to wonder what in the hell this world is coming to? Well – when people get away with despicable behavior like this and probably receive little or no punishment other than a slap on the wrist – the answer is pretty obvious – – –

  17. The man who beat the two dogs was fired….he needs to be prosecuted for animal cruelty…..home video shows him IMMEDIATELY beginning to beat both dogs with a wrench as soon as he entered the back yard (walking past a “beware of dogs” sign)……
