Target: Scott McKenzie, Chief of Police Of McComb, Mississippi
Goal: Punish man who allegedly beat a disabled child while filming himself committing the crime.
A man has been charged with 27 counts of felony child abuse after video evidence allegedly showed him abusing a child with special needs. According to the McComb police department, Alex Mead used his cell phone to film himself beating his girlfriend’s daughter, a disabled five-year-old, causing injuries that required hospitalization.
Child abuse is never acceptable, but the nature of Mead’s crimes are exceptionally heinous. The girl that he allegedly beat is confined to a wheelchair due to a rare brain disease, meaning she requires constant care. Any man who attacks and harms such a defenseless child deserves to be punished to the full extent of the law. Sign the petition below and urge law enforcement officials to ensure that justice is served for this innocent victim.
Dear Chief McKenzie,
I am writing in regards to the recent arrest of Alex Mead. Mr. Mead faces over 20 counts of felony child abuse after your department found cell phone recordings which allegedly show him beating a disabled five-year-old child.
While child abuse is never acceptable, Mr. Mead’s alleged actions are especially heinous due to the victim’s innocent nature. Children are already innocent enough, but attacking a disabled child confined to a wheelchair is sickening. I commend your department for apprehending this man and I urge you to ensure that he be punished to the full extent of the law.
