Target: British Justice Minister, Michael Gove
Goal: Ensure that the two men who brutally abused a helpless bulldog are jailed for their actions.
Two brothers filmed themselves throwing their family pet bulldog down the stairs but were only given a suspended sentence. The dog, named “Baby,” lost the use of her hind legs and had to be put down three months later. The two brothers, Andrew and Daniel Frankish, from North Yorkshire, England, filmed themselves on a mobile phone repeatedly throwing the poor animal down a flight of stairs, swinging her around and stomping on her.
Member of Parliament Anna Turley has spoken out, saying that the pair should have been jailed: “My fear is that the leniency of their sentencing will send a message to the brothers and other animal abusers that law enforcement is indifferent to animal welfare.”
Sign this petition demanding that their sentence is reviewed and that these men are sent to jail for their horrific act.
Dear Mr. Gove,
Andrew and Daniel Frankish, from Redcar, North Yorkshire, were allowed to walk free after brutally abusing their pet bulldog. The dog, named “Baby,” had to be put down after losing the use of her hind legs. Politicians and the public are outraged by the leniency of their sentencing, which, according to MP Anna Turley, sends “the message to the brothers and other animal abusers that law enforcement is indifferent to animal welfare.”
These men deserve to be jailed for the horrific suffering they subjected a defenseless animal to. In light of the public uproar this case had caused, I urge you to review their sentence and send them to jail.
