Praise Rapper for Shaming Fur-Promoting Celebrities

Target: Gaiaisi aka Gabriel Nadler, rapper and activist

Goal: Applaud artist’s call-to-action song that points out the ugly reality of fur clothing.

Rapper/activist Gaiaisi released a song that confronts celebrities and others who wear fur clothing despite the torture and excess hunting of animals all over the world. The music video for his song includes videos of painful trappings of animals, the torture that takes place thereafter and the reactions to the videos of passersby on the street. It also shows activists confronting celebrities that openly promote the fur industry in their personal and professional lives.

The fur industry has long been an enemy to not only animals but to humans with compassion and rational logic. It remains a contradiction in our society, as we can report animal abuse in our communities, but it is completely acceptable to abuse animals for business purposes. The fur industry solely exists due to its customer base and celebrity endorsement–if no one promoted or bought their products, the demand for animal cruelty would go away and it would become a taboo.

Gaiaisi has done a service to our society by stepping up to be a voice for animals all around the world who fall victim to the greedy and vain industry of fur production. As an “evolved” society, we must act now to influence evolving societies in a positive way, instead of starting damaging trends that contribute to the destruction of the natural world.

Please sign this petition commending Gaiaisi for the brilliant and inspiring work that he has shared with the world, in an attempt to foster positive change and promote animal conservation.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Gaiaisi,

I am writing this letter to applaud you for being an agent of positive change in regards to the repulsive fur industry. Your song, “You’re Wearing WHO?” has acted as a public service announcement in ending the proliferation of the animal torture industry and I believe it will effectively reach many generations.

As you know, the fur industry has long survived because of celebrity endorsement and the subsequent popularity of purchasing clothing with animal fur or byproducts. It also continues to thrive due to the relative ignorance of the general population concerning the capture, treatment and over-hunting of animals for clothing. By producing this song and including public reactions to torture videos, you allowed people to realize their personal accountability in contributing to the fur industry.

I believe that your work has and will continue to inspire countless others in a collective effort to end senseless and selfish acts of violence against animals. Please keep up the good work and continue to produce art that serves the good of our human and animal communities all over the world.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Ignorant insecure people that think fur is a status symbol are the last folks wearing fur. How stupid and heartless. Not necessary as gortex is far superior for weather.

  2. jill proffitt says:

Well done Gaiaisi for having an opinion about fur coats, people should be ashamed at themselves for wearing 20 odd dead animals on their back, shame on those low life sub humans who wear fur, the old saying which is so true, FUR COATS ARE FOR BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS NOT UGLY PEOPLE.

    • Your last sentence is so true… I wish a whole of us can come together to start throwing red paint again on these people and make them even uglier…

  3. When you wear fur you support animals and stolen pets being skinned alive.
It’s time people were made aware and if they didn’t care – they are selfish narcissists

  4. Natasha Glinsky says:

Finally a rap song I like! Thanks Gaiaisi aka Gabriel Nadler for your courage in standing up for what’s right!
