Target: Hil Kaman, City of Everett Prosecutor
Goal: Punish woman who allegedly “shamed” her dog by making him wear a urine-soaked pad on his head.
A picture of a dog appearing to show the animal with a urine-soaked pad over his head was recently posted to Facebook. The woman who owns the account allegedly wrote in the caption “successful dog shaming by way of The Wearing of the Peepee Hat” and explained that she made her dog, named Ludo, wear a pad soaked in his urine to “shame” the animal for relieving himself in her house.
While this woman may think this is a funny image to post to social media, this is not an appropriate way to housetrain a pet. She is currently being investigated regarding the incident. Forcing a dog to wear a pad soaked in urine is not an acceptable manner of treating an animal and sends the wrongful message that “shaming” and disrespecting animals is okay. Sign this petition urging prosecuting authorities to punish this woman for this act if she is found guilty.
Dear Mr. Kaman,
Please prosecute the woman in Everett who allegedly photographed her dog wearing a urine-soaked pad on his head. Because he relieved himself in her house, Ludo’s owner reportedly covered his head in a pad soaked in his urine to “shame” the dog, writing in the photo caption: “successful dog shaming by way of The Wearing of the Peepee Hat.”
This is not an appropriate way to housetrain a pet nor is it an acceptable manner of treating an animal. Please ensure this woman is punished for this act.
