Demand Justice for Murdered Wolves

Gray Wolf II

Target: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Commissioner, Tom Landwehr

Goal: Investigate illegal slaughter of three wolves and bring murderers to justice.

The bodies of three gray wolves were recently found dumped in a ditch along a road in Minnesota. These beautiful animals are protected under the Endangered Species Act, yet someone blatantly disregarded this protection by killing these three wolves and throwing their bodies unceremoniously into a ditch. The murder of these innocent animals is a heinous crime, and those responsible must be brought to justice.

Wolf populations in Minnesota have been extremely delicate for decades, and their continued survival needs to be protected. Many hunters and trappers want hunting of wolves to be reinstated, but recently the existing population of wolves was still low enough for a judge to determine that they needed to continue to be listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.

With this status, wolves are granted government protection from hunters and trappers, and killing them for sport is illegal. The three wolves that were found dumped by the side of the road had snare marks on their necks, suggesting that their deaths are likely due to illegal poaching. Not only are these innocent animals, but they are animals who we are supposed to be protecting so that their species can avoid permanent extinction.

Because killing gray wolves is an illegal offense, it is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $25,000 fine. Whoever committed the despicable act of murdering these three gray wolves needs to be found and held accountable for their actions. Please sign the petition below to show your support for the protection of gray wolves by demanding these murderers be found and punished.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Commissioner Landwehr,

I am writing to request that you and your department continue to do everything in your power to find and prosecute the person or persons who brutally murdered three gray wolves and dumped them in a ditch along a road in Minnesota. The gray wolf is protected under the Endangered Species Act, yet whoever carried out these killings blatantly ignored this protection and deserves to be punished to the full extent of the law.

The survival of gray wolves has been at risk for decades, and their numbers continue to be tenuous at best. Not long ago, a judge determined that wolf populations were still at risk and that they needed to continue to be listed as threatened. These three wolves who were murdered were found with snare marks on their necks, which makes it highly likely that they were illegally poached. It is essential that these senseless killings are not forgotten and that the murderer is found and prosecuted.

Gray wolves are beautiful animals who need our protection. Without shelter from hunting and trapping, these animals could once again be pushed to the brink of extinction. We cannot stand for anyone sabotaging the survival of these animals, especially with such brutal and inhumane acts. Please defend gray wolves and demand that your agency not stop until the killer of these three wolves is apprehended.

Sincerely,

  1. Cruelty and law breakers need to b punished. Find the(se) sickos and prosecute to the full extent of the law. Three bodies three charges 25 k for each and six months for each. That would b a little closer to the sentence and monetary punishment to fit the crime!! Longer jail sentences and large monetary restitution for law breaking senseless criminals!

  2. LAWS ARE MADE TO BE FOLLOWED BY EVERYONE BUT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO ALWAYS THINK THAT THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW. WELL, GUESS WHAT YOU SLIME BALL MONSTERS YOU AREN’T AND I HOPE THAT YOUR BRAGGING TO OTHERS ABOUT THESE KILLINGS, EVIDENCE LEFT AT THE LOCATION OF THE MURDERS, AND SOMEONE SEEING YOU, REPORT YOU AND YOUR ARE SEVERELY PUNISHED. WHEN MONSTERS LIKE YOU DO THIS YOU RUIN IT FOR THE REST OF US YOU SELFISH, GREEDY, HEARTLESS, LAWLESS CRIMINALS. THESE ANIMALS DESERVE TO LIVE AND YOU DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO SLAUGHTER THEM BECAUSE U DON’T LIKE THEM.

THESE KIND OF STORIES MADE ME SICK AND MAD AS HELL!!STOP THE INSANITY AND STOP THE LAWLESS NOW!

  3. end all hunting of endangered wildlife now .

    Commissioner Landwehr,

Can you see the law is enforced or are you incapable of getting the job done?
It’s as simple as that. If Landwehr doesn’t get the job done form an action to remove him from his job right now.
