Target: Chris Nocco, Pasco County Sheriff
Goal: Ensure police officers are punished for allegedly slamming woman to the ground and pointing a gun at her face.
A woman reportedly had to have stitches in her head after she was allegedly slammed to the ground outside of a department store by officers who were accusing her of shoplifting. One officer’s body camera shows the small woman being violently slammed to the ground with a hand clasped around her throat, then on the ground pleading and in tears as one officer points a gun at her face.
From the looks of the body camera images, these officers not only mishandled a simple situation, but they used excessive force against a woman and terrorized her. Demand that the unidentified officers be fired if found guilty of using excessive force.
Dear Sheriff Chris Nocco,
A woman reportedly had to have stitches in her head after police allegedly used excessive force on her. Body camera footage shows police officers slam a small woman in a violent manner. A hand is seen grasping the woman’s throat as she’s taken to the ground and later, she can be seen on the ground in tears as an officer holds a gun to her face.
From the footage it seems clear the woman was no threat to these officers. It appears they used violent and excessive force on her and terrorized her with their service weapon. Please show zero tolerance against the use of excessive force and help see to it that both of the officers in the footage are fired and never work as police again.
