Punish Officers Charged With Sexually Assaulting Women While on Duty

Target: Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey

Goal: Punish officers to the fullest extent of the law for charges regarding the sexual assault of four women while in uniform.

Two police officers from the Los Angeles Police Department face charges for sexually assaulting four women on multiple occasions. The charges include forcible rape, oral copulation under color of authority, rape under color of authority, and oral copulation by force. One of the officers also faces a charge of assault with a firearm after using his gun to threaten one of the women.

According to reports, the incidents of sexual assault took place over the course of four years. At the time, the police officers worked together as partners and were assigned to the Hollywood division. During that time, one victim stepped forward to report the crimes. She alleged that the two officers had stopped her more than a year before and forced her to perform sexual acts or be sent to jail.

The abuse of police authority has been in the media for quite some time now. However, few people have heard of instances where police officers used force to sexually assault women while on the job. This not only poses a threat to the safety of women looking to the law for protection but also undermines the reputation of police in Los Angeles and the rest of America.

Help to make an example of these men by signing your name to the petition. Through your support we hope to ensure that, if found guilty, they receive the punishment they deserve for their actions.

Dear District Attorney Lacey,

Six years ago, a woman’s accusations against officers in the LAPD were shocking enough to make the news. She alleged that officers had not only assaulted her but that she was raped. Thereafter, three other women stepped forward confirming the same treatment from these two officers. The two former LAPD officers have since been charged and are to be arraigned this week.

Both police brutality and violence against women have received increased exposure in the media in the past year. To have the two coincide in this way is nothing short of horrific. So far your team has put in exceptional work on this case to unearth evidence and update the media.

Please see this through by helping to ensure that, if found guilty, these two officers are put away for a long time. Accusations of abusing police power not only instill fear into women in Los Angeles, they also undermines the police uniform and the good work of other law enforcement officers.
