Punish Woman for Allegedly Letting Dog Die of Parvovirus

Yorkshire-Terrier-Dog-by-Fastily

Target: Marian Ryan, District Attorney of Massachusetts

Goal: Help ensure maximum penalty for pet store owner who allegedly let dog die of parvovirus without treatment.

A pet store owner faces animal cruelty charges after allegedly failing to care for a Yorkie puppy, which ultimately lead to his death. This woman, who’s also the wife of an animal control officer, reportedly sold the puppy to a couple, but the helpless animal fell ill and was diagnosed with parvovirus.

This is a highly contagious, often fatal virus. When the couple returned the sick dog, it was allegedly put in a pen with another dog without being treated or seen by a veterinarian. This woman was fined once before for this. Her other charges included running the store without a license.

As the owner of a pet store and wife of an animal control officer, there’s no excuse for a dog being so mistreated and neglected. It appears this woman has little regard for the lives of helpless animals. Demand that she’s given the maximum penalty and banned from ever working with animals again.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Marian Ryan,

A pet store owner and wife of an animal control officer allegedly sold a dog that later died of parvovirus to a couple. The couple reportedly returned the dog once he was diagnosed with the contagious and often fatal illness, but instead of seeking veterinarian care for it, investigators said she put him in a pen with another dog.

This is her second time facing an accusation of causing a dog’s death due to mistreatment. Investigators also said she and her husband were running their pet store without a license.

This woman should be held fully accountable for the senseless and tragic death that could’ve been prevented with proper treatment. We demand that this alleged repeat offender be given the maximum penalty and be banned from working around animals.

Sincerely,

  1. Second time she’s been charged??? Obviously she was not deterred by the last time. Increase the fines tenfold and increase jail time for these crimes, then she might think twice or she might stop making money off the suffering of innocent creatures!! Stop the whole domestic animal industry. These folks should get a job and stop breeding domestic pets!!! Please!!

THERE IS A BIGGER SITUATION HERE…..almost all puppies in pet shops are from puppy mills……..they work hand in hand to make huge amounts of profit from the selling of these puppies.

MANY towns/ cities are changing laws to ban the selling of any puppies or kittens by a pet shop except for those from shelters, this is a win/ win situation……

MOST puppy mill puppies are known to be sick with various diseases…..parvo is worse than most, because it is fatal, but almost ALL puppies from puppy mills are infected with various viruses and bacteria.
