Demand Maximum Penalty for Knocking Out Elderly Man

Target: Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes

Goal: Seek maximum punishment for all involved in alleged cruel assault of man for entertainment.

A video uploaded to the internet allegedly displays a teenage male walking up to an elderly man and knocking him out for no apparent reason. The video, allegedly uploaded by the perpetrator and his friends, shows the kid approaching the man, the man looks at him, seeming to ask him a question, and then when the teenager hits him hard in the face, he falls down to the ground.

This alleged disgusting assault is part of a larger phenomenon called “The Knockout Game” where people–usually teens–attack an unsuspecting victim in an attempt to hit them hard enough that they become unconscious.

These kinds of senseless and unfeeling acts are criminal and must be swiftly pursued so that victimization is minimized and the rehabilitation of the criminal sociopath is started immediately. Sign this petition urging the Passaic County district attorney to seek the maximum punishment for the assailant, filmmaker and anyone else allegedly involved at the time of the incident.

Dear Chief Fraher,

I am writing this letter to you to express my extreme repulsion of the video reportedly displaying a Paterson teenager knocking out an old man.  This was apparently part of a ridiculous game called “Knockout,” in which teenagers target unsuspecting victims and hit them so hard that they fall unconscious. This vicious and pointless behavior displayed by coldhearted youth demonstrates a lack of humanity and must be dealt with in the most serious manner.

The elderly gentleman in the video deserves swift justice and reparation for the unimaginable trauma he reportedly went through and the subsequent fear he must suffer from every time he walks by a young teenage male.

Please ensure that you pursue this alleged assailant with the utmost urgency and subsequently seek the maximum penalty for him and all accomplices involved.
