Justice for Cat Burned With Boiling Water

Target: Chicago Police Department

Goal: Find and punish man who allegedly poured boiling water on an innocent cat.

A cat recently suffered severe burns when a man reportedly poured boiling water on it. In a Facebook video post, which has since sparked viral outrage, a man is seen at his stove bringing a pot of water to a rolling boil before bringing it over to his window. He then proceeds to pour the water through the open window onto a cat sitting beside it looking for attention. The spotted cat is then seen yowling and running frantically away from the man, who yells obscenities at it.

According to authorities, hundreds of calls flooded in about the video. While it was deleted along with the man’s entire Facebook account, investigators were able to identify the poster. Currently, they are working to verify the integrity of the video, and with the help of local animal activists, locate the injured cat. Should the video be found to be authentic, the man who threw the water could face felony animal cruelty charges and up to two years in prison.

This crime displays shocking malice, and the fact that the man allegedly posted it on a social media website shows a lack of recognition of the seriousness of his cruelty. In order to bring justice for this poor cat, it is imperative that the person responsible is found and reprimanded. Sign the petition below to demand that the man seen pouring boiling water on a cat is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Dear Chicago Police Department,

A cat was recently attacked by a man who saw it outside his window and allegedly poured boiling water on it. Instead of shooing the spotted cat away, the man brutally burned the cat and yelled obscenities at it. The cat, which was seen on a Facebook video yelping in pain and frantically trying to escape the man’s yard, has not yet been found.

The man responsible showed unspeakable cruelty and a clear lack of remorse in his reported posting of the attack to social media. In order to ensure that this man does not get another chance to harm animals or humans, it is imperative that he is found and imprisoned. We, the undersigned, ask that you seek the maximum possible punishment against this cruel offender.

Someone scald him till he has bleeding oozing wounds. What a imbecile, let’s post a video committing a crime, i’m sure FB made him feel right at home. Keep running boy because the law & us are after you 🙂

    • bob ellison says:

Please don’t make the mistake of labeling him a idiot. Clearly, he is a PREDATOR!

Make no mistake, he would scald your children just as fast as he attacked the poor cat.

  2. One very very sick kid that needs to be treated and monitored for a long time! His parents should be locked up too! Disgusting disregard for life…

  3. This abuser needs to be removed from the face of the earth. Prison is too good for him.

  4. Lynn Juozilaitis says:

Do the same thing to that POS! He’s nothing more than a subhuman creature! UGH!!! I have HAD it with this garbage that likes to inflict pain ans suffering and snuff out the life of people and animals! Get rid of this vile scum!

  5. I wish they could locate the cat and tend to it.

  6. The Sun Times Network identified Leon Teague, 18, of Illinois, as the man seen pouring boiling water on a cat. Records show that Teague has been charged with felony animal torture and misdemeanor depicting animal cruelty. Teague is expected in a Chicago courtroom Friday.

  7. bob ellison says:

    Chief Holtzman,

Thank God you caught him before he permanently disfigured neighborhood children or other companion animals.

He needs to be locked up permanently. He WILL reoffend and likely has a past pattern over many years of this cruel behavior.

This monster must never walk the streets of any city in the United States ever! Regretfully, a life sentence will not be possible.

  8. Sick to my stomach, AGAIN. The news story reported, “Animal activists report the cat has been found alive but Animal Control officers in Chicago were unable to catch the animal.” Great…this poor, burned & hurting cat is out there, likely homeless, and not receiving any help for what this little shit did to him/her!!! Left untreated, those burns will likely kill him/her. My BLOOD is what’s boiling, knowing this young sicko probably won’t get dealt an APPROPRIATELY SEVERE punishment, including mental treatment alongside…as his clearly disturbed FAMILY should also be sentenced to as well!!!!

  9. LeighAnna McGrath says:

Waste of human life. He deserves the same done to him.

  10. What a waste of human life. He deserves the same done to him.

  11. Karen Remnant says:

Two years in prison??? Nowhere near long enough!! This pos should be scalded preferably to death.

  12. “The only difference between a dog, cat, horse and dolphin and a cow, chicken, pig and turkey is perception. One is no more valuable than another. And yet in this culture, we hold the former animals in high esteem and the latter we brutalize for food. All animals are deserving of respect and freedom from violence. The way to respect others is veganism.”

  13. Cecily Colloby says:

    Boil this bastard alive….

  14. what did the cat do to deserve that, poor wee thing, the thing is they obviously have a cat of there own as there is a cat litter tray outside the window, i’m quite upset after watching that, hope they catch the bugger, I have 2 cat’s of my own, I love them dearly, & a while back this big cat used to bully mine so what I did was just squirted if with pain cold water , it soon got the message & was not harmed, it still comes by now & then I only need to look out the window & it darts off. I hope they find the wee thing & it gets well.
