Justice For Starved Dog Found With Decayed Jaw

Target: Hamblen County Tennessee District Attorney, Dan Armstrong

Goal: Issue maximum penalty to couple who allegedly allowed dogs to suffer horrific conditions including an injury so severe that the dog’s jaw became decayed and exposed.

The owners of a pit bull and seven puppies were arrested for animal cruelty. One of the dogs had an infected eye and an injury on her face that was so severe her jaw bone was exposed. She hadn’t eaten or had water in days, the shelter believed. Her condition was so severe that she had to be euthanized. The animal control officers described the scene as horrific and said her jaw injury looked like decay. An animal control officer said there wasn’t any food or water for the dogs and one was on a short 5-foot chain outside.

Animal control said they’d been to the same house in the past because the couple’s dogs kept getting out in the road and almost getting ran over. It seems clear that the couple knowingly neglected these dogs and chose to cause them severe suffering, even after they’d been warned. There was no reason for these innocent animals to have been left to starve and suffer to death. The couple could’ve given them away or allowed animal control to take them.

If something isn’t done, more animals may suffer at these people’s hands. Help protect other animals from ever landing in their hands by signing the petition below and demanding they receive the maximum penalty if found guilty.

Dear Mr. Armstrong,

A couple reportedly created a cruel life of suffering for a litter of puppies and a pit bull who had to be euthanized because her injuries were so severe that her jaw bone was decayed and exposed. Animal control officers said the animals had no food or water and one was tied to a 5-foot-chain and left outdoors. Forcing innocent animals to live in torment like this is wrong, and warrants a strict punishment.

We need to prevent any more innocent animals from landing in the hands of cruel people like these. Please show zero tolerance for animal cruelty and help push for the maximum penalty possible, if the couple is found guilty.

  1. anita culling says:

Please enforce harsh appropriate justice for these poor innocent souls. Stop this going unpunished.

  2. Kathy Khoshfahm says:

As stated above, until harsher sentences are given to those who choose to torture and murder animals, not much is going to change. The Animal Kingdom are citizens of this Earth and they deserve our protection. Not one creature deserves to experience something like this. Not one…

  3. F-in Tennessee hicks again, also home of Michael Sandlin, who’s kept Tony the tiger imprisoned at his filthy truck stop for years already, and the “authorities” do NOTHING! All a bunch of no-good rednecks who ought to be buried alive.

    • Can’t we do something for poor Tony. The laws have to be changed so wild animals can not be kept as pets. Lets start a petition to change the laws in Tennessee. In Australia you cannot have wild animals as pets at all.

  4. Lance Everett says:

Enough animal abuse there are to many options to allow this to continue.

  5. People who abuse the vulnerable innocent voiceless animals are the ones who murder Human beings as well. Punish these evil people for the crimes they committed.

  6. This is such a horrific case of animal abuse. Please bring the perpetrators to justice. Please send a message that this is NOT OKAY.

  7. Linda Cabrnoch says:

This sort of cruelty should be stop and justice should be done for these poor animals that suffered under their care or should I say do not care.

  9. Sara Smith says:

So when is this petition going to be presented? We all sign and then they seem to be left dangling indefinitely!

  10. Some humans must have extreme actions taken so they learn what they have done wrong and these two must be arrested, serve a year or two in jail because I bet they think they did nothing wrong ….guess again you are evil and cruel. They are inhumane and slow learning to the fact that animals need food, water and many basic needs just to survive. People like these two need to be made an example of to stop this insanity so jail them for many years, ban them from ever having or being around any animals, fine them a huge amount and get them psychiatric help as they are sickos.

RIP poor dog killed by monsters and may you get justice for your unnecessary and horrific death.

  11. I can’t find words to express my disgust. These people need to be taken out of society, and away from living things.
