Target: Las Vegas City Attorney Bradford Jerbic
Goal: Charge man with hate crime and maximum sentence for desecrating Islamic worship place with raw bacon.
The FBI is looking for a man who was reportedly seen on surveillance camera desecrating the Masjid-e-Tawheed mosque with bacon. They’re now reportedly offering a reward to anyone who can help identify the man in the video. He allegedly wrapped bacon on the door handles, fences and ground as a way to desecrate the Islamic worship center, authorities say.
Since the Qu’ran prohibits pork consumption, many people use meat, such as bacon, as a way to “taunt” Muslims. Recent news shows that mosques have been the target of severe and dangerous crimes, such as being set on fire. In this particular case, authorities say they’re treating it as a possible hate crime. All humans should be allowed to practice whatever religion they choose without being bullied, taunted or discriminated against.
This behavior is hateful and is a complete violation of these people’s rights, including their right to freedom in America. This cruel behavior is unacceptable in a country known for its freedom of religion. It’s clear whoever did this had cruel and hateful intentions. Please demand that, when found, the suspect is charged with a hate crime and sentenced to the maximum extent.
Dear City Attorney Jerbic,
A man was reportedly caught placing bacon all over the entrance of a mosque. Bacon was reportedly wrapped on the door knobs and strewn about the property in an attempt to “taunt” or be cruel to those who worship there and their religion. This is a country where religious freedom is supposed to be a right. These sick, cruel hate crimes must be punished accordingly.
We urge you to stand up for freedom. Please help ensure that when the guilty suspect is caught, he’s charged with a hate crime and sentenced to the maximum penalty if he’s found guilty.
