Target: Supervisory Judge of  Supreme Court Justice, Jeronimo Mejia

Goal: Ensure former Panama President, if found guilty, is sentenced to the maximum extent for allegedly spying illegally on over 150 million people.

Former Panama President, Ricardo Martinelli reportedly has a warrant out for his arrest because, according to the Panama Supreme Court, he allegedly used public money to illegally spy on over 150 million people during his administration. Martinelli reportedly faces a variety of different corruption charges, including embezzlement.

This criminal behavior is dangerous and Martinelli completely violated the privacy and rights of those he allegedly spied on. Too often public officials of high status like a president are let off the hook and hardly punished, if at all, when caught.

Using public money is one thing, but to use it for such sick reasons like spying on unsuspecting people without their knowledge is predatory. This behavior is dangerous and highly damaging to victims. Demand illegal spying practices be stopped immediately and Martinelli, when caught, be punished to the fullest extent if he is found guilty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Supervisory Judge of Supreme Court Justice, Jeronimo Mejia,

It has been reported that former Panama President Ricardo Martinelli faces corruption charges and has a warrant out for his arrest for allegedly using public money to spy on over 150 million people during his administration. This illegal eavesdropping is a deplorable violation of the victims’ rights and privacy.

If these charges are true, Martinelli is a danger to society. We urge you to make the right decision when it comes time to decide whether or not to uphold the accusations, and aim for the maximum penalty possible if he is found guilty.

Sincerely,
