Target: General public
Goal: Denounce Donald Trump for stating that the U.S. should block entry of all Muslims into the country.
Donald Trump has stated that the U.S. should block entry of all Muslims into the country in light of the recent Paris and San Bernardino attacks. This hate-filled remark has spurred an increase in activity from American Islamophobics, who are taking their unwarranted fears out on innocent Muslim people. Trump believes we should lump all Muslims into small and unassociated terrorist groups, just as we did with the Japanese during World War II.
Trump’s unfounded tirade has caused a rash of violence against Muslims living in the United States. Democracy Now reports that a Muslim storeowner in Queens, New York was attacked and beaten. During the flogging, the oppressor allegedly told his victim “I kill Muslims.” Other reported incidents include Muslim women being pushed onto train tracks, hate-filled speeches directed toward Muslims in public, and the burning and vandalizing of Mosques.
Denounce Trump for exacerbating unwarranted hatred. Contrary to what Islamophobics are shouting, not all Muslims are ISIS. Have Trump and his followers not learned anything from the Japanese internment camps during World War II?
Dear Mr. Trump,
Your suggestion that we prevent all Muslims from entering the country has spurred a rash of hate crimes against those practicing the faith across the country. Backing up your ridiculous and racist sentiment with FDR’s internment of the Japanese during World War II is even more ludicrous. Perhaps you need to take History 101 again; that actually ended up not being a good idea.
For the record, not all Muslims are members of ISIS or any other terrorist cell, so not all Muslims need to be banned from the United States. Shame on you for promoting terrorism that isn’t there; your ignorance is the foundation for violent hate crimes against innocent people throughout our country.
