Target: Whirlpool Corporation CEO Jeff M. Fettig
Goal: Move the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship from Donald Trump’s golf course to a different location.
A huge national golf tournament is set to take place at the Trump National Golf Club, owned by racist hatemonger Donald Trump, in 2017. The Senior Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Championship is sponsored by appliance company KitchenAid, which could use its influence to pressure the PGA to move the tournament to another golf course so that it won’t help fund a man who has suggested barring all Muslim persons from entering the U.S.
The list of terrible racist and Islamophobic things spouted by presidential candidate Donald Trump are too numerology to list, yet he still leads in the polls for Republican candidates with numbers that threaten Democratic candidates Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. In order to stop Trump’s fascist-like vision of America from becoming a reality, we need to do everything we can to stop him from getting even more money from his campaign.
KitchenAid needs to know that it cannot tacitly endorse Donald Trump and everything he stands for without consequences. Sign our petition to let this company know that if they decide to let Trump profit from the tournament it’s sponsoring, we will consider it to be every bit as racist as Trump’s frequent hate-filled statements.
Dear Mr. Fettig,
KitchenAid, which is owned by your company, is sponsoring the 2017 Senior PGA Championship to be held at the Trump National Golf Club. By planning this massive tournament at a golf course owned by presidential candidate Donald Trump, your company is both giving him more visibility and supporting him with the money it takes to use the course for such an important event.
This is a problem for many of your customers. In particular, immigrants, people from Mexico or of Latino heritage, and those of the Muslim faith will likely disapprove of having a golf tournament associated with KitchenAid held on this man’s golf course. Also, anyone else who is against blatantly racist and Islamophobic statements like saying Muslim individuals should all be barred from entering the country and all Mexican men are rapists and drug dealers will probably be displease with your company.
By associating yourself with a tournament that benefits Donald trump, you associate yourself and your products with horrific and dangerous bigotry. However, you have the power to influence the organizers of this tournament and get them to move it to a different gold club. Please ensure that KitchenAid does not endorse racism and fascist notions by getting the PGA tournament moved to a place not owned by Donald Trump.
