Target: Christopher L. Eisgruber, President, Princeton University
Goal: Dismiss professor who allegedly told Greenpeace he’d write a fake environmental impact report.
Greenpeace contends that Princeton University Professor William Happer agreed to write a report designed to cast doubt on global warming. Posed as fossil fuel company consultants, the nonprofit organization approached Happer, alongside retired Penn State University Professor Frank Clemente and asked that they write reports to debunk our man-made climate issues.
During the undercover negotiations, it is alleged that Happer and Clemente said they were available for hire and would charge by the hour. The professors said the reports would cost the fossil fuel company thousands of dollars, and purportedly discussed how the funds could be appropriated under the table.
Clemente is retired; Happer is still teaching, and this is surely a breach of ethics. Encourage Princeton University President Christopher L. Eisgruber to dismiss William Happer from his teaching position.
Dear President Eisgruber,
Professor William Happer was allegedly approached by members of Greenpeace posing as fossil fuel company consultants and asked to write a report debunking global warming. It appears that Professor Happer agreed to write the report for several thousand dollars and advised Greenpeace ways it could pay him without notice. This is very distressing news if it is true.
Please investigate this matter. If you find Professor Happer did indeed agree to write a report for pay to support the interests of private fossil fuel companies by casting doubt on global warming, please dismiss him from his teaching duties at Princeton. This type of unethical behavior should never be allowed.
